Talk to OpenClaw through the apps you use

Start with the included Rocket.Chat account, then explore Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, Discord, Slack, iMessage, email, and SMS connections.

The easiest interface for a worker is often the one you already check during the day. You can send a request, answer a question, and review the result without opening a separate project dashboard for every task.

The managed offer includes a Rocket.Chat account as the initial way to reach your worker. Other supported channels include Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, Discord, Slack, iMessage, email, SMS, and phone calls. Those additional channels can require their own connection or pairing steps.

In this guide

  1. Use the included chat as your starting point
  2. Connect the channel that fits the job
  3. Keep the task clear when you change channels
  4. An example instruction to adapt ↓

Use the included chat as your starting point

Follow the chat link in your account after the worker is ready. Rocket.Chat works in a browser, so you can start without configuring another messaging service. Your account and welcome information identify the worker you have been assigned.

Send one clear request and wait for the result. If setup is still completing, check its status from your account instead of sending the same job repeatedly through several channels.

Connect the channel that fits the job

A chat app is convenient for short requests and progress updates. Email suits longer instructions and documents. Phone or voice can help when your hands are occupied. Choose based on how you will review the answer as well as how you will send the request.

Adding a channel gives you another way to reach the worker; it does not mean every service is already connected at signup. Complete the relevant connection steps and test both a request and its reply before making that channel part of a recurring workflow.

Keep the task clear when you change channels

Refer to the job or document you mean when moving from one conversation to another. Ask the worker to summarize the current state before continuing if there is any doubt about which task is being discussed.

For a completed job, ask for the saved file, published page, or record reference. A friendly ‘done’ in chat is less useful than a result you can open. The sales page also has a product-demo chat, which is a way to ask questions before purchasing, rather than your private worker workspace.

An instruction you can adapt

Get a clear progress update

“For the quote drafts we discussed this morning, tell me what is complete, what is still waiting on information, and where the current drafts are saved. Do not send any of them yet.”

What to look for in the result

  • A status summary tied to a named task.
  • Links or references to the current work.
  • A clear list of decisions the worker still needs from you.

Try it with your business: Begin in Rocket.Chat. Add one preferred channel once you have completed and reviewed your first task.
